Hello Buddies,
Disease occurs to everyone. And with the technology growing, they are also curable. But there is this very mindset of not accepting the disease or syndrome. We wouldn't accept it for us and also probably not accept the one suffering also. So here is a story of the most trending disease...
The clock stuck 8 and the alarm started to ring. Dharthi switches off the alarm
and goes back to her sleep. She had a very strange dream and all she wanted was
to finish it off. “Are you up there, Dharthi. You will get late. Its already
past 8.15...” shouts her mom. Growling and fumbling, she woke up with a lazy
start. But such a start is not for a bad day for Dharthi because she makes
everyday of her life, the unforgettable one.
Now, Dharthi is a word signifying stagnant, silent, patience,
traditional, etc. And so you will be expecting this heroine also to be same.
But let me inform you pre-hand that our heroine is complete opposite to her
name. She is highly active, modern, short tempered and highly talkative girl.
Her daily routine was to get up at 8.15 and start running from bathroom to
wardrobe to dining room. As usual she ran to her bathroom today. When she was
coming out of the bathroom, her mobile was ringing. She saw that the caller was
none other than her best friend Vicky. She picked up the call and said, “Hi!
Hello, good morning! Why did you call up early in the morning?” After few
minutes, her phone dropped from her hand and she didn't know that tears were
falling from her eyes for the first time in her life. Her mother came to see if
she was up yet. When she heard her mom's footsteps, she wrote out the tears
from her face and started going to office. She was blindly driving the car
without any care. She almost knocked out a small kid, who was crossing the
road. Her eyes were still red and watering and she had to stand there waiting
for another 15 minutes in traffic. She switched off the engine.
It was her birthday, that day. She was busy roaming around in the city,
preparing for the party and was going to bakery to get the cake, when she got
stuck in the traffic jam. She switched off her engine, and she heard the tap on
her window. She opened her window and saw the prettiest lady down this Earth.
The lady said, “Hello! My name is Chaya. I am new to this place. Could you
please show me the way to Sweet Chariot Bakery?” Dharthi, always like to speak
to stranger, and so she jumped into chance and said, “Hey! I am going over
there only. I would be glad to take you along”. Chaya accepted the offer. The
two girls started to speak and soon became friends. They exchanged their cell
numbers also. When they reached the bakery, Chaya saw the name on the cake and
was surprised she met a birthday gal. She wished Dharthi. It was then that
Dharthi invited her to the party that night and also said where exactly is her
house.
Suddenly she heard the horns of the vehicles and she opened her eyes
only to see that she is in traffic. She thought to herself, “It was all in
yesterday. And today is different…” She started her engine and drove away. She
reached her office and went straight to her boss to ask for leave of 2-3 days
and the reason she said was out of station. Boss was not only surprised to see
that dullness in her face but also for her asking for leave, because he knew
very well that Dharthi never even once asked for leave until then. But without
much of enquiry, he granted the leave to her.
Dharthi left the office and got into the car. She remembers how Chaya
used to come in front of the office and used to meet her everyday. Chaya always
said, “It is you who have to spend the time for your friends. If I don't happen
to call you everyday, you will sure as hell forget me some day. If I don't come
to meet you everyday, then there will be a day where you will fail to recognize
me.” Chaya’s words were always logical and unreasonable. Dharthi wiped the
tears out of her eyes and drove straight back to her home. She closed her room
door and started to cry out aloud.
Even her mother was shocked because she never cried like this in her
life. Her mother tried to call Chaya’s number but nobody picked up the phone.
She then telephones Vicky. It was then that she realized that Chaya had blood
cancer and that She passed away just today. She knew how close was Chaya to her
daughter and so she let her daughter cry.
Next day the sun rose into the sky as usual. Dharthi suddenly opened her
eyes (She didn't know when she fell asleep while crying) and she felt as though
Chaya was in her room. She gets a call, but she turned her eyes back to where
Chaya was standing right the moment before and saw there was none. She picked
up the call of Vicky. He called to tell her that he was waiting outside her
room door and wanted her to open it. She was in so shock that she felt as
though she was still sleeping. Somehow she convinced herself and opened the
door.
Vicky told her everything what happened to Chaya. “She was diagnosed
with blood cancer since past 6 month. Her doctors had warned her with 3 months
and after that she could count her days. She was neglected between her friend
and family and no one cared much about her, as she was about to die anyways.
Part of her savings from her earnings was invested on some real estate in
Thane. According to her will, all her property and money in her account are now
belonging to you. And she also left a letter for you”, he said and handed her
the letter.
‘Dear Dharthi,
As I have always told you, I have never ever in my life had a friend like you. You are special person in my life. It was you who taught me to smile and laugh at all the times. It was you because of whom I had all the happiness in the last part of my life. Now let me tell you something about myself.
The very first time, I saw you was in Shopping Mall on your birthday, four months back. Your sweet smile and cute approach with the shopkeeper attracted me very much. I don't know why I felt like to be your friend. So, I followed you everywhere. After your shopping, you drove the car and any away. I hired an auto and still followed you. I felt it to be right time for introduction when your car stopped in traffic. Didn't expect you to be so friendly, so I had prepared myself in many ways, as to how to introduce myself to you. Then we were friends!!!
I shared with you all the things of my life except the fact that I had blood cancer. Doctors had warned that I may die anytime, but I don't know why I felt that she that I still have a life after seeing you. And it was so true!!! Because it proved that my life was during those four months only. If at all, I am asked for a boon, then I'll ask for those for months to come again. I might have hurt you a pretty lot of time. I am really very sorry about it all :-(
Anyways! Enough of these stuffs! Let me tell something about you… You are very pretty, cute smiled, highly active, modernistic… etc. girl. But you are very short tempered. I just say control your temper and you will be the goddess down this earth. Believe me :-) You have a very good talent in yourself. You can even be ‘International Most Talented Woman’ (This must be a bit outta limits ;-) What say??) And in the last, I know you are in love with Vicky. I spoke to him about it all and he said he would think about it. And by the time he finishes thinking, I dunno where I'll be!!!
In the last, let me tell you that I owned a land in Thane. All this is to you, after my death. Now you will ask why is it so?? Assume it be your birthday gift from me for all the years that You gonna live, because Dharthi I never felt like you around me with anyone else. You were my best friend ever. And it was with you that I felt there exists a thing called ‘heavens’. Today I might be dead, but just remember always, my life was more in you than me…
With love,
Chaya.’
